Parmi tous les pseudonymes créés par Swartadauþuz, aucun ne capture mieux le caractère dantesque de la nature que Gnipahålan : I Blodets Kamp... en apporte la preuve en très peu de temps pour les impatients. Les deux pistes de cet E.P. sont construites sur le même schéma : les introductions, bien que lentes, font monter la tension. Quand les nuages éclatent, le black metal atmosphérique accélère et se transforme en déluge colérique. Les riffs sont agressifs et spectaculaires. Très puissant !

Seule sortie de Tyranni, Baron af Avoghetens Smärta est noir comme une nuit sans lune. Porté par un growl de possédé (surtout sur le démesuré "Kittel af Tyranni qui, sur ses 14 minutes, permet à Likaska de montrer l'étendue de ses capacités), le groupe nous fait sillonner une contrée dans laquelle les éléments se déchaînent, immenses et épiques ("Förbannelsens Snara"). La mort nous guette à chaque pas, menaçante avec l'orgue provenant du synthé. Tyranni commence sa carrière en grandes pompes !
