I've never in nearly 30 years of listening to black metal heard an album that is such so close to utter perfection.

L. Next statement may seem like trifle stuff but this is one of the best BM albums ever. So clear, 'Likpsalm' should be the perfection of an album; so wholeheartedly and passional brewed, gathering each and every one of the essences that forged and heightened the genre to the summum of Metal music: darkness, coldness, evilness, grimness, epic, majestic, transcendental, nocturnal, cosmical, magical and so on. Not to mention the outstanding vintage production. Just a fucking amazing underground gem. Favorite track: Urkaosets svarta magi.

H.L. This is one of few alltime-favourite albums I still listen to frequently. Viewed objectively, "Likpsalm" is atmospheric underground black metal with lo-fi production, paper box drums and distant, distorted screams or raw recitatives. The groovy songs swing between aggression and melodic moments and they are characterized by a unique obscure mood. Forgotten Woods, Joyless or Manes are closest references, but in fact "Likpsalm" is a true but underrated masterpiece on its own! A personal classic! Favorite track: Skalder av otyg och trolldom.

Découverte de Bekëth Nexëhmü — grâce à un certain graphiste qui partage pas mal de trucs (et que des bons trucs) sur Twitter — et... je n'étais pas préparé à un tel déluge. Swartadauþuz rassemble plusieurs démos composées entre 2006 et 2014 (avec quelques bonus), démos sculptées avec un sens du détail impressionnant. C'est une ballade dans une caverne sans lumière où les sons partent en échos dans le néant. De Fördolda Klangorna demande de la concentration, mais elle est tellement récompensée ! Jordan Vauvert
